Student Password Reset Process

This article provides troubleshooting steps on how to submit a student password reset request.

Symptoms:

  • Student forgot their password
  • Student cannot login
  • Teacher or front office staff needs a student password reset completed

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Submit the password reset request through Service Desk
    a. Have a staff member, either the teacher or front office staff, go to help.responsiveed.com.
    b. Select Submit/Review Tickets.

    c. Go to Submit New Ticket.
  2. Complete the ticket
    a. For the ticket type, select Urgent Requests.

    b. Choose Password Reset.

    c. Within the password reset ticket, provide the student's name and/or email.
  3. Service Desk resets the password
    a. After submitting the ticket, a Service Desk agent will reset the student's password.
    b. The student's password will be reset according to the current password format and policy.
